Wrongful Death After a Dallas Car Wreck
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009
After suffering injuries sustained in a Dallas car wreck over the weekend, a man died yesterday. The man was stopped at an intersection in his Chevrolet Malibu when a pickup truck hit him from behind. The force of the collision caused the Malibu to hit the back of the SUV that was stopped in front of it.
The drivers of the Malibu and the pickup truck suffered the most serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Malibu died yesterday after being on life support since the Dallas car wreck, while the driver of the pickup truck was released from the hospital yesterday.
The passenger in the Malibu along with two people who were in the SUV had non-life threatening injuries. Though this Dallas car wreck is still under investigation, police officers told the Dallas Morning News that the primary causes of the car wreck were speed and alcohol. When he left the hospital yesterday, the driver of the pickup truck was arrested on a warrant for intoxication assault.
This Dallas car wreck had a tragic outcome: wrongful death and several people left with serious injuries. An innocent person was killed because of another person’s negligence. This kind of situation happens every day in not only Dallas, but across the country.
